The Walker Art Center seeks a versatile and imaginative Web Content Specialist to craft engaging, accessible, and informative digital experiences. This isn't just about writing; it's about shaping how audiences interact with art and ideas online.

Core Responsibilities: Illuminating Art Through Digital Narrative

  • Develop, write, and edit clear, concise, and SEO-optimized content for the Walker's website, including exhibition pages, blog posts, collection highlights, and event descriptions. Think beyond simple descriptions; bring the art to life!
  • Collaborate with curators, educators, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure content aligns with institutional messaging and project goals. You'll be the bridge between creative vision and digital execution.
  • Optimize content for search engines and user experience, employing best practices for readability, accessibility, and mobile responsiveness. We want our content to be found and enjoyed by everyone.
  • Maintain and update existing website content, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and brand alignment. This includes reviewing and editing contributions from others.
  • Assist in the development of content strategies to support institutional objectives and audience engagement. Your ideas will directly impact how we reach our audiences.
  • Track and analyze website content performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement. We believe in data-driven decision-making.
