We're on the lookout for a detail-oriented Technical Writer in Jersey City, NJ, to help us develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for our cutting-edge software products. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation suites, including user guides, API documentation, developer tutorials, and troubleshooting manuals.
  • Collaborate closely with software engineers, product managers, and customer support teams to gather information and ensure documentation accuracy.
  • Employ exceptional communication techniques to demystify intricate technical concepts into easily understandable and engaging content.
  • Create documentation in a variety of formats (e.g., PDF, HTML, online help systems) to suit our audience's different consumption preferences.
  • Consistently improve existing documentation based on user feedback, usage metrics, and internal updates.
  • Stay updated on the latest industry standards and technical writing tools to optimize the efficiency and quality of documentation processes.
  • Organize and structure information logically to provide intuitive navigation within our documentation resources.

Required Experience:

  • A demonstrated history of creating detailed, accurate, and engaging technical documentation for a diverse array of users.
  • Familiarity with standard methodologies like Agile or Waterfall development to seamlessly integrate documentation development into product lifecycles.
  • Deeply curious and dedicated to continually enhancing knowledge of software products and technical concepts.
  • Demonstrable competency in mastering the latest software and tools utilized in creating and publishing top-tier documentation.
  • Possession of sharp analytical and problems-solving competencies in independently deciphering challenging concepts or troubleshooting technical documentation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, technical communications, computer science, or a relevant discipline.
