Making a Real Impact: Grant Writer (Remote, Minneapolis)

We are looking for a passionate grant writer to join our growing team! If you're based in the Minneapolis area (or anywhere else in the country) and have a knack for persuasive writing and a desire to secure funding for vital initiatives, we want to hear from you.

Your Role & Community Focus

As our Grant Writer, you'll be instrumental in crafting compelling narratives and proposals that resonate with funders and help us expand our reach in the community. Your efforts will directly support our mission to provide resources and opportunities to underserved populations.

Here’s how you'll contribute:

  1. Proposal Creation: Develop persuasive grant proposals, ensuring they align with funding guidelines and organizational goals.
  2. Research: Conduct thorough research to identify funding opportunities from foundations, government agencies, and corporate donors.
  3. Reporting: Prepare timely and accurate reports on grant activities, ensuring compliance with grant requirements.
  4. Collaboration: Work closely with program staff and leadership to gather data, refine project ideas, and ensure proposals are data-driven.
  5. Relationship Building: Cultivate relationships with foundation representatives, program officers, and other funders.
  6. Project Coordination: Manage the grant application process from start to finish, including budget development, timeline management, and document collection.
  7. Document Compilation: Maintain an organized record of all grant-related materials, including applications, awards, and reports.
  8. Grant Tracking: Maintain a grants calendar, providing ongoing reminders for proposals due and for compliance.
