  2. Develop engaging narratives highlighting local businesses, community events, and unique Portland experiences.
  3. Conduct thorough keyword research, using tools like Google Keyword Planner and SEMrush, to uncover high-potential search terms related to Portland and its offerings.
  4. Collaborate closely with the SEO team to align content strategy with broader digital marketing goals.
  5. Edit and proofread existing web content, optimizing for readability, clarity, and SEO value.
  6. Use content management systems (CMS) to publish, schedule, and update content efficiently.
  7. Keep abreast of content marketing trends, tools, and techniques to improve content quality and delivery.
  8. Monitor website traffic, bounce rates, and conversion rates, using Google Analytics and other relevant platforms, to assess content performance and iterate as necessary.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in content writing, copywriting, or digital marketing.
  • Familiarity with SEO principles, including keyword research, on-page optimization, and link building.
  • Proven ability to create compelling content across various formats, including blog posts, website copy, and email campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of Portland's local culture and the unique characteristics that make the city stand out.
  • Excellent communication, research, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in content management systems (CMS), such as WordPress, Drupal, or Joomla.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Degree or certification in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or related field

What You'll Gain:

  • An avenue to shape narratives of a popular city
  • The freedom to work on projects covering a variety of interests
  • A workplace that promotes ongoing growth and skills enhancement
  • A diverse team environment where every contribution is valued
  • Comprehensive benefits, including paid time off, medical insurance, and retirement options
