Job description

We're expanding our content team and seeking a Content Marketing Specialist in Oakland, CA to spearhead our online presence and drive engagement. This isn't just about writing blog posts; it's about understanding our audience, crafting compelling narratives, and utilizing data to refine our content strategy. This role is 100% remote.

Your Mission:

  • Strategy Development: Formulate and implement content marketing strategies that align with overall marketing goals. Analyze market trends, conduct keyword research, and identify target audience needs to inform content creation.
  • Content Creation & Curation: Produce a diverse range of content, including blog posts, whitepapers, case studies, infographics, and social media updates. Ensure all content is original, accurate, and optimized for search engines.
  • Performance Monitoring & Analysis: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as website traffic, lead generation, and social media engagement. Use data insights to optimize content performance and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, product, and engineering teams to understand our products and services, customer pain points, and competitive landscape.
  • Brand Voice Maintenance: Ensure all content is aligned with our brand voice and style guidelines.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field.
  • Three+ years of professional journey in content marketing.
  • Proficiency in SEO principles and content optimization techniques.
  • Demonstrated experience in using content management systems (CMS) and marketing automation tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
