As our Technical Writer, you'll be the go-to person for creating and maintaining user manuals, API documentation, troubleshooting guides, and other essential technical resources. You'll work closely with our engineering, product, and customer support teams to ensure that our documentation accurately reflects our products and effectively addresses our users' needs. This position is based on-site in our Denver office, fostering collaboration and direct communication with our technical experts. We are looking for a local Denver-based candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Crafting comprehensive user manuals, API documentation, and troubleshooting guides.
- Collaborating with engineering, product, and support teams to gather technical information.
- Simplifying complex concepts into easy-to-understand language for a diverse audience.
- Maintaining and updating existing documentation to reflect product changes and user feedback.
- Conducting research and usability testing to ensure documentation effectiveness.
- Developing and implementing documentation standards and best practices.
- Contributing to the overall improvement of our products through insightful documentation.
- Adhering to established style guides and brand voice guidelines.
What You'll Bring to the Table:
- A solid career path in technical writing, with experience in creating and maintaining technical documentation for software products.
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as English, Journalism, or Computer Science; comparable experience may substitute.
- Proficiency in documentation tools such as MadCap Flare, Confluence, and Git.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- A proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
- An understanding of SEO principles as applied to technical documentation.
