- Our rapidly growing engineering division seeks a dedicated Technical Writer near Orlando, FL, to document our innovative solutions for the aerospace industry. As the Technical Writer, your contributions will span software applications, hardware systems, and engineering protocols. You will create intuitive documentation for internal users, our customer base, and even assist our sales department with their outreach endeavors. In short, you will be essential in translating complicated ideas into clear and digestible resources for both technical and non-technical users. **Specific Accountabilities:** * Collaborating closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), including engineers, software developers, and product managers, to understand the underlying subject and distill that understanding for consumption. * Creating a variety of documents such as user manuals, installation guides, API documentation, training materials, and troubleshooting guides. * Editing and proofreading documentation for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with company standards and industry best practices. * Maintaining and updating existing documentation to reflect product updates, enhancements, and bug fixes. * Using various tools to create and format professional-quality documentation deliverables. * Adapting communication styles to meet the demands of specific target audiences, ensuring the highest degree of usability. * Working to establish and maintain standards of excellence across all technical communications. **Essential Credentials:** * A foundational background in technical communication, English, or a relevant field. * A demonstrably strong ability to synthesize and distill technical information for target demographics. * Proficiency in industry-standard documentation tools and formatting (Confluence, JIRA, MadCap Flare, RoboHelp, etc.). * An awareness of writing principles and their applications, especially with regard to content layout and visual appeal. * Prior involvement with the creation of engineering and hardware-oriented documentation. **Perks of Being a Part of Our Crew:** We recognize the value of our contributors.
