- Our firm, a cutting-edge solutions provider in the healthcare technology sector, is in search of a sharp Part-Time Technical Writer based in Toledo, OH. We're innovators, problem-solvers, and committed to clear, concise technical documentation that allows end users to easily comprehend our product offerings. **The Opportunity** We're not looking for someone to merely reiterate technical information; rather, we're after someone who can effectively and imaginatively translate our product features into user-friendly guides, tutorials, and FAQs. This is a hybrid role where you'll blend remote work with time in our Toledo office for collaborative sessions and deeper product understanding. The position is part-time, approximately 20 hours a week, with scheduling flexibility. The individual will report to the Documentation Manager. **Key Deliverables** * Crafting in-depth user manuals and product documentation for our suite of software solutions. * Creating training guides to help end-users adopt and maximize the effectiveness of our technology. * Developing compelling visual aids (diagrams, charts, and screenshots) to enhance comprehension. * Managing the documentation lifecycle, from initial creation to version control and updates. * Collaborating with software engineers, product managers, and support staff to ensure content accuracy and relevance. * Assisting in maintaining consistent brand messaging across all technical documentation assets. * Working on different iterations of product manuals. * Addressing feedback regarding user documents, as it pertains to errors, or difficulty locating requested content. **What You’ll Bring** * Proven aptitude in technical writing, including proficiency in crafting technical documentation that’s clear and accessible. * Hands-on familiarity with documentation tools and software such as MadCap Flare, Adobe RoboHelp, or similar platforms. * Experience creating, maintaining and updating online documentation. * A demonstrated knack for translating complex technical details into plain language for a diverse audience. * Outstanding research and analytical abilities to extract and validate technical content. * Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, capable of effectively engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders. * Adaptability to working in a fast-evolving, dynamic environment and responding positively to shifting priorities. **Traits We Appreciate** * **Critical Thinking**: You assess information logically, ensuring clarity and accuracy in your documentation. * **Detail-Oriented**: You obsess over the small things to get to the best version possible, while adhering to the provided documents. * **Organized**: You know your projects and deadlines. **Compensation and Benefits** As part of our team, you will have opportunities to: receive mentorship from leaders in their fields; have flexible work arrangements that facilitate an enriching life both inside and outside of work; receive recognition of milestones.
